Taking Dance as a Metaphor on a Slow Foxtrot

If I'm only dancing

If all the words a stage,

And I am only dancing,

Dancing with knowledge,

With truth, with spirit, with you.

Then you are my partner,

In the dance of each moment that we share,

The whole universe,

Is the backdrop to our stage.

We engage the stars for lighting,

Thunder, wind and rain for sound,

Our very being,

Rebounds and echoes,

Of an imaginary wall,

Sending ripples through space,

Through time, through open hearts and open minds.

Leaving traces in the sand dunes of our thoughts,

Where you walk barefoot,

Upon so worlds infinitesimally small,

That it ought not to be really possible,

What strange creatures we are Alice
